Media Release: US Coast Guard Academy’s Office of Inclusion and Diversity Discussion

Media Advisory: Discussion on race, microaggressions with Dr. Derald Wing Sue
NEW LONDON, Conn., -- The media is invited to attend the U.S. Coast Guard Academy's Office of Inclusion and Diversity discussion with Dr. Derald Wing Sue, Professor of Psychology and Education at Columbia University Tuesday.  
Sue will discuss his work as a pioneer in the field of multicultural psychology, racial dialogues, multicultural counseling and microaggression theory.  He created the taxonomy of microaggressions that popularized the term.  The event will take place on the first floor of the Alumni Center building.
