Congratulations to Vice Admiral Linda Fagan who has been nominated by the White House to be the next Vice Commandant of the #USCG. VADM Fagan will become the Coast Guard's first female 4-star admiral.
She brings more than 36 years of service and a tremendous amount of leadership, experience and passion to the Coast Guard's vast and vital mission set.
"It is an honor to be nominated by the President to serve as Vice Commandant of the U.S. Coast Guard," said Vice Admiral Linda Fagan, currently serving as commander, Coast Guard Pacific Area. "It has been a privilege to serve the United States, Department of Homeland Security, and the incredible Coast Guard workforce for the past 36 years. I welcome the opportunity to continue the Coast Guard's important work to protect our nation."
VADM Fagan is a graduate of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and has served on all seven continents. She is also the Coast Guard's first-ever Gold Ancient Trident, as the officer with the longest service record in the Marine Safety Field. See more at https://lnkd.in/dghCsuF
Pending confirmation, VADM Fagan is set to relieve Vice Commandant of the Coast Guard Admiral Charles W. Ray in June 2021.
